In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital is hosting its annual amateur Pink Art Contest. Contest entries must be submitted by Sept. 21 for judging.

Artwork will be displayed at the hospital during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. One in eight women in the United States is diagnosed with breast cancer each year.

Categories include two-dimensional paintings, drawings and photography and three-dimensional sculptures, jewelry and clothing. All entries must relate to breast cancer awareness, education or experiences.

Prizes will be awarded in each age group: 12 years old and younger, 13 to 17 years old, and adult (18 years old and older) at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at the hospital’s annual tree lighting ceremony. The ceremony is open to the public.

Artwork, with display hardware attached, must be dropped off at the information desk at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital, 5101 S. Willow Springs Road. The information desk is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
