WinterOutdoor Places to Go

It’s almost time to pull out the sleds and snow pants and enjoy an afternoon on the sled hill! It’s no surprise that with colder Chicago weather comes the snow, so why not have a little fun in it? Sledding is a great way to burn off some of the kids’ built up energy on a chilly winter afternoon. Bundle up, grab your sleds, and head to the nearest sledding hill. Don’t forget the hot chocolate afterwards!

  • Harris Forest Preserve in Yorkville has a huge hill, but it’s a bit rowdy for the little kids. For them in Oswego, you can park by the Home Depot and sled on the little hill right next door at the gold course. Not sure if the golf course is ok with that, but people take toddlers there to sled lol.
